With holidays like Halloween and Bonfire Night fast approaching, there are lots of upcoming events taking place across Manchester to entertain the whole family.
Hosted by the Museum of Science and Industry, the Manchester Science Festival is set to take place between the 19th and 29th October. This is the largest science festival in England and comprises of creative, playful and surprising celebrations of science!
Legoland is hosting a ‘Brick or Treat’ Halloween event over the half term holidays and any children who dress in costume on Halloween itself will be granted free entry when accompanied by a paying adult. The event is running from the 1st of October until the 1st of November. Kids will be able to take part in making scary pumpkins, experience the interactive ghost train, name the three haunted Lego castles and win prizes during this month-long Halloween spectacular!

A week of Snoopy fun is coming Manchester’s way at the Trafford Centre during half term! Ahead of the release of ‘The Peanuts Movie’ on the 6th November, Snoopy and Friends are taking over and hosting a range of fun-filled activities including a pop-up Peppermint Patty pamper station, Snoopy themed Halloween pumpkin carving workshops, plane building, and mask making.

Following on from the festival’s debut last year, the Halloween fiesta which was inspired by Mexico’s Day of the Dead is returning on another level with Festival of the Dead – Chapter 2: Limbo. The festival is set to include circus performances, professional skull face-painting, burlesque performances and DJ’s playing a soundtrack of bass, house, and garage with a Latin twist.

The Grade II listed building is hosting 3 family horror favourites on the 27th October and 28th October. The screenings will show 80’s and 90’s classics Beetlejuice, Hocus Pocus and The Addams Family. Viewers will be able to enjoy street food from Dim Dum Su, the Blue Caribou Canteen and Mac Daddies along with craft beers from Peak District brewery Thornbridge. On top of all this, prosecco, wine, soft drinks, hot drinks, popcorn and fresh doughnuts will also be served.
